We’re Kiff.

A small crew in Joburg, a lot of wax, and one firmly held belief: your shelf deserves better.

We make wax do things it probably didn’t ask for.

Kiff started in 2025, in Johannesburg, with a very simple question: why do candles have to look like candles? Most of what we saw on shelves was beige, apologetic, and trying extremely hard to be “tasteful.” We wanted something louder. Weirder. More fun to look at. Also — still a properly nice candle.

So we started sculpting. By hand, in small batches, one strange little object at a time. Miniature roses. Skulls in full bloom. Yoga ladies mid-pose. Picasso faces that look like they’re about to file a complaint. Astronauts. Anatomical hearts. A cheese wedge, because why not.

Every Kiff candle is made to earn its spot on your shelf — whether you end up lighting it or not. (Honestly, a lot of our customers don’t. We respect that. The wick is a suggestion, not an obligation.)

A few things we believe in

  • Hands over machines.
  • Colour over caution.
  • A little weirdness in everyday objects.
  • Good wax, clean fragrance, packaging that makes unboxing a moment.

Kiff is a group effort, through and through — a small crew in Joburg with a shared refusal to let candles be boring. We won’t bore you with names or head-shots. The candles are the point.

Kiff, by the way, is South African slang for something properly cool. Seemed about right.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you leave with something strange.
